On Monday, 28th January 2013, an email of gratitude from the Rwandese community was received:
I write to you on behalf of the Rwandan community and for me to express our gratitude for the support we have enjoyed from you and Damietta Peace Initiative.
This past weekend's workshop was an inspiration for many of the participants and renewed hope and courage in them that they can play a meaningful role in bringing lasting social and democratic change in our beloved country Rwanda. The Phaphama facilitators were excellent. We were privileged to be trained by the co-founders Judy and Jabu of Phaphama. Our hosts and staff were also good to us and treated us like royals. The meals were very delicious and everyone enjoyed the facility and content of the workshop.
It was the introduction of nonviolence principles and our guys are hungry for more knowledge. We resolved to go in our communities (Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Mpumalanga and North West) and spread the word (what we have learned so far). I will let you know the dates for these engagements with members of our community so that should your team want to attend can do so.
Once again THANK YOU and may God bless you
